The "Improving E-Waste Policy in Universities: The Case of TR83 Region" Project Has Been Successfully Completed


Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001-100th Anniversary of the Republic Special Call, project number 323K289, titled “Improving E-Waste Policy in Universities: The Case of TR83 Region,” in which Prof. Dr. Ayşen Satır Reyhan, a faculty member of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, participated on behalf of our university, applied studies were conducted on the state of electronic waste (e-waste) policy in universities and methods for balancing the negative impacts of e-waste on humans and the environment with the evaluation of its economic resource potential.

The research was carried out in four universities located in the TR83 Region (Ondokuz Mayıs University/OMÜ, Hitit University/HİTÜ, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University/TOGÜ, Amasya University/AÜ), and in the municipalities and Provincial Directorates of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change (ÇŞİD) in the cities where these universities are located.
